Young People's Ministry

The youth ministry is a ministry for the young people and all those who are not married in the church. It is led by Brother Jaspha the and he guides the youth with the scripture below:

1 JOHN 2:14b
"I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one."

Led by Brother Jaspher who is assisted by a group of 25 leaders who are assigned different ministries. These leaders were chosen according to their commitment and the ‘believing in people’ strategy. A new set of leaders is in the training process so as to assist the already existing team with the revival of our generation.

The challenges that the youth at large face are issues on relationships which encompass family, friends, courtship and God, peer pressure and adolescence.

To address these issues the youth ministry has groups of people who move from place to place sharing the bread of life and strategies on how to handle the problems they face.

The schools program is a group of people who witness at different schools. Founders High School is one of the schools which is frequently visited on Sundays for morning services. Other schools frequently visited are Njube High, Montrose Girls High, Sikhulile High and Orion College.

Departments:
> Missions Department
> National Impact Program
> Academics Program
> Career Development
> Young Women

The Missions Department holds evening services with different colleges and hospitals to ecourage, empower and equip the youth, city wide and across the country.

The National Impact Program has an explorers curriculum which teaches the youth on culture and how to survive in the wilderness.

The Academics Program aims at assisting students in their studies from primary level to college level. These extra lessons are held free of charge.

Career Development is headed by a 22 year old business young man who has the passion to empower others. He critically analyses the project proposals, assists the candidates with capital and resources to start their small to medium scale businesses.

Young Women have a department which addresses the issues that affect them. There is no age restriction so as to cover both youth and young adults. The vision is to impact the daily lives of young women by ensuring that young women are strongly grounded in the word of God and are able to apply it to everyday life. A one day convention themed “DESIGN OF A WOMAN” was held to mark the beginning of the year. Currently running are intercession groups of prayer to strengthen and to stand firm in the faith.

A campaign has been launched to ensure the right standing with God. The “HAI-BO CAMPAIGN” is governed by 1st Timothy 4vs.12. It is aimed at encouraging no compromise, negative mob behaviour and perverted information and media. When seeing such behavior, the saints are expected to speak out by reporting all unholy activities, confronting signs of compromise and drawing a distinction between right and wrong and talk about it .
